The company we source our clothing from believe in taking their time with every product they make. They only design and produce premium apparel that will stand the test of time and are guided by three key principles, quality, respect the details and keep it simple.

PRODUCTION – FAQS.
They recognise their responsibilities to workers for the conditions under which their products are made. These responsibilities extend to all workers producing products or services for them. They believe that good workplace standards, decent health and safety requirements, fair pay and conditions, and care for the environment are important elements in business success.

CODE OF CONDUCT

Their code forms the principal part of their commitment to social responsibility by upholding worker rights and protecting them against abuses. It applies to each of our factories. Compliance with the Code is enforced by way of independent audits. The Code is based around International Labour Organisation (ILO) principles and goes beyond minimum legal requirements. ILO’s Four Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work define prohibitions against child labour, forced labour and discrimination, and guarantees for worker rights to freedom of association and collective bargaining. They select factories very carefully, seeking the best from around the world. This way, they ensure top-quality output and that production standards are complied with. We only work with factories that can assure auditable standards of safe, fair, legal and humane working conditions.

ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY
Environmental performance – if we can reduce environmental impact, we do so.
The vast majority of our products have never been single poly bagged (individually wrapped in plastic). A few products used to be single bagged due to their higher price and being more susceptible to damage during shipping. However, over the past few years, we have been eliminating this practice and as of last year, no garments were being delivered single bagged.

BETTER COTTON INITIATIVE
Our four specific aims:

• • Reduce the environmental impact of cotton production
• • Improve livelihoods and economic development in cotton producing areas
• • Improve commitment to and flow of Better Cotton throughout supply chain
• • Ensure the credibility and sustainability of the Better Cotton Initiative

THE WATER BASED INKS USED TO PRINT OUR SHIRTS DO NOT CONTAIN TOXIC CHEMICALS
Most commercial screen printers print garments using plastisol inks, which are easy to use and last well. However, plastisol inks contain PVC and phthalates that are harmful to the environment and have been linked to numerous medical disorders. Plastisol inks also require the use of harmful solvents in the cleaning process. Water based inks do not contain PVC or phthalates and you don’t need solvents to clean the screens down after they’ve been used – you can clean them with water

THE INKS USED ARE VEGAN AND GMO FREE

PERMASET inks are vegan. Our ingredients are not sourced from animals and our inks are not tested on animals. In addition to this, all ingredients used in the manufacture of PERMASET® inks are sourced from plants which are certified GMO free.
